What were they thinking?

Last week local union 1947 put the nail in the coffin for nearly 850 workers. In a overwhelming vote, the union voted no on a concessions package offered by Mercury Marine. Merc. had informed the union that they could not keep doing business in Wisconsin without some cut backs. Some of the things Merc was asking for(better sit down for this), employees would not receive there 2% increase in pay for the next 2 years. Also new employees and workers called back from layoff would recivie a lower rate of pay. By the way the average hourly wage is about $20 per hour.

Now from what I understand on average the voters had 20 to 30 years in the company. Thus meaning they are pretty close to retirement. So they dont have much to lose. Here is my opinion. Wake up you lazy good for nothing union workers. You have a job, which is one step better than most of us. You get paid $20 an hour. So you dont get a raise for the next 2 years(boo hoo). And maybe you have a cutback on a few benifits. BIG DEAL. Now your looking at not having a job at all, making $0 an hour and no benifits. Dumb, dumb, dumb!!!!!

I can fix this problum for Merc. Hire me at $15 dollars an hour. My job will be to fill all your open job with employees who will all work for well under $20 an hour. This would not be a hard thing to do.

Westboro Baptist Church

God hates fags! That's the web address of the Westboro Baptist Church. The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is an independent Baptist church headed by Fred Phelps and is located in Topeka, Kansas. It first opened it doors in 1955. What's so special about this group you ask. Well you may have heard about them in the news for their outrageous protests against gays and the military. Their "church" views consist of everything from the Catholic church being devil worship, to God hates fags more then any other sinners.
The organization is known for picketing at public events and funerals, often those related or peripherally related to gay people or soldiers in the military. They hold six daily pickets a day in Topeka, and fifteen on Sunday. They also travel around the country to protest. As of March 2009 they claim to have held over 41,000 protests in over 650 cities since 1991.
I have spent a lot of time reading and watching videos of this group. I suggest every American do the same. These people are nuts. It makes me sick to my stomach. Evey time I hear these low life's talk, I get angry, and want to track them down and, well you know. But I know that will only help there cause. This is America and they have the right to do this. I would recommend you check out there web-site. I do often. Check out their picket schedule to see if you will have a chance to give these people a piece of you mind.

Obamacare

I guess I still don't get it. Do we really need this? Don't we already have free health care for children(badger care), seniors(medicare), disabled(disability), lazy people(badger care plus)? Now lets do the math here. Government claims 46 million people in the U.S. have no health insurance. Here's the break down. 12 million people are eligible for Medicaid and state children’s health insurance programs, but haven’t enrolled. This includes 64% of all uninsured children and 29% of parents with children. Since these people would be enrolled in those programs automatically if they went to the hospital for care, calling them uninsured is really a smokescreen. Another 10 million uninsured “Americans” are not Americans. Approximately 5.6 million are illegal immigrants and another 4.4 million are legal immigrants but not citizens. Nor are the uninsured necessarily poor. A new study by June O’Neill, former director of the Congressional Budget Office, found that 43% of the uninsured have incomes higher than 250% of the poverty level ($55,125 for a family of four). And slightly more than a third have incomes in excess of $66,000. A second study, by Mark Pauly of the University of Pennsylvania and Kate Bundorf of Stanford, concluded that nearly three-quarters of the uninsured could afford coverage but chose not to purchase it.
